Drawn to contemporary architecture, the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao and the Walt Disney Concert Hall, California have captivated my imagination. Frank Gehry’s designs provide cities throughout the world with statement pieces of work that add immense cultural value and challenge modern ideas of architecture.

 

Recently I have been following the build progress of Adrian Smith’s Kingdom Tower, an enormous feat of engineering and architectural brilliance that, combined with the Burj Khalifa, will leave a lasting impact on the skyline of Western Asia. Within the UK, the Gherkin is my favourite building, notably because of its winding, curved façade and unusual shape. I admire many of Lord Norman Foster’s pieces, particularly Wembley Stadium as this aligns with my other passion – Football.
