The scheme will set a benchmark for the quality of public realm in the rest of the Ouseburn by providing a brewery, Workshop and Heritage centre. New street furniture and simplifying the surface materials and circulation, to create an elegant and comfortable environment for both pedestrians and cyclists. It will also retain and enhance the setting of the river. Street lighting throughout The Parade will be upgraded and complemented with additional lighting to make the street brighter and attract people to the area during the evenings.

This proposal will be a benchmark between the community and the Ouseburn. Two new additions with a bridge separating them will make up the brewery, bar and café, while the Canvas Works will hold Micro Breweries in containers which have been slotted inside, while art work hangs to create a story of the history of brewing.
